Theater. Family. Friends. Local dining. Cooking in.

Christmas Eve lobsters at Alicat & Joe’s. With Chris, Joey, Ben, Jake. Fab!

Pre-theater Bobby Van’s on 50th is just above the Times Square fray. Yet close enough to walk to see Farinelli & the King, The Parisian Woman, or Meteor Shower. The food is only average, but it’s lively and fun. Plaques at our corner table featured Eric Trump and Michael Flynn. Collusion!

For a quick walk and the best burgers and burritos in town, A.G. Kitchen remains a consistent favorite. Uptown a bit The Milling Room proved to be better than the first time we went. Cod perfectly cooked, duck dishes excellent. A large interesting space and a rare UWS find.

Not as successful, Italian restaurants in the ‘hood. Tried Pappardella for a family dinner. Crowded, noisy and lousy over-frozen shrimp. Pasta is okay. Pomodoro also on Columbus friendlier but inferior food quality & sauces.
